''Rutea La Rioja'', La Rioja, Spain, 28  July-5 august 2026.

Manfred on Tour NGO is happy to present a long waited model of Erasmus + training course. We present our first itinerant, moving classroom around our region, La Rioja,  to combine all the elements we have learnt key to develop a proper non formal education curriculum. 

We want a group of 27 fortunate candidates to hike, ride, explore, climb, swim, paddle and visit our region in the fulliest mode possible. Combining culture with gastronomy, personal development with social cooperation, adventure with artistic expression and history with future thinking, we want you to cocreate with us models to bring about sustainble development to the rural areas of La Rioja. 

From sleeping under the stars, to discovering millenary artworks, from wet forests to dry walks, from modern festivals to historical traditions, from the younger generations to those more experienced in the field. We offer a route, while challenging, will be the most rewarding journey of this year. 

We will live offline, we will connect with the people and with ourselves, we will toil and sweat just enought to make the outcome of this experience a trully life changing experience. Living with less but with the stuff that really matters: Nature, a beutiful scenery, a great team and a mission. To discover and work for the region of La Rioja, the hidden gem of Spain. 

(Disclaimer) The physical requirements of this route are accesible to everyone motivated enough but will require some level of demand that translates into: 4 hikes in 8 days of 23km aproximately. Climbing, caving and kayaking activities among others. Sleeping on the floor either in sports pavillions or open air, Sharing public spaces, bathrooms and materials most of the time. These criteria are neccesary to reach all the places we plan to discover and while special needs may be considered we recommend some level of preparation prior to the route to enjoy it at its fulliest.
